Starting an Ebay Store
Starting an eBay store can be frustrating if you are someone like me who just wants to get in there and go. Instead, you do need to do quite a few steps before you can get going. Also, it’s a little confusing because as part of the setting up of a store, you do need to know what the first item is that you are going to post. So, be sure to have that ready. You don’t need to publish it – you just need something to draft. Here are the first set of step-by-step instructions for setting up an account.

Starting an eBay store, Steps 4 and 5 above, has you start the listing of the item I mentioned. If you want to skip to posting an item now, you can go here, or just do the best you can with a draft knowing you aren’t publishing it now. Please proceed with the next steps.

After you verify your phone number, you will need to select the account type. This is easy based on whether or not you have formed a corporation: C or S corp or LLC. If you haven’t, then sign up for an individual account. If you have a company, find your tax id number now, which would have been issued to you by your State.

Lastly, you will need to select the type of store you want. Since, the names of the levels change periodically, I won’t list them out now, but if you are just doing this to make some extra money, a basic store should get you started. You can always update that later, if you find yourself needing more listings or other functionality.
We have more on this, be sure to see the Main Page of Information on “Second-Hand Resale” Here.
